KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs are without strong safety Eric Berry (ankle) for a second straight game.
Berry and running back Joe McKnight, who ruptured an Achilles during Thursday’s practice, are out for Monday night’s game against the New England Patriots.
Fourth-year pro Ron Parker will likely continue to start for Berry, who is dealing with a high ankle sprain suffered in Week 2.
The Chiefs, however, have good news surrounding running back Jamaal Charles (ankle), who is listed as probable.
Charles practiced in a limited fashion for three straight days and is a virtual lock to be available Monday night after missing Week 3.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid didn’t sound sure when it came to running back/wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas (hamstring/questionable).
“De’Anthony did all of his stuff out here,” Reid said after Saturday’s practice, “so we’ll just see. Probably more optimistic about Jamaal (Charles) than him.”
The Chiefs list cornerback Sean Smith (groin), linebacker Tamba Hali (ankle/knee) and defensive lineman Vance Walker (shoulder) as probable.
The Patriots list six players on the final injury report after placing defensive tackle Sealver Siliga (foot) on injured reserve Saturday.
New England lists tight end Rob Gronkowski (knee) as probable.
