Xavier Worthy Active, Omarr Norman-Lott Out vs. Jaguars on Monday Night

Xavier Worthy Active, Omarr Norman-Lott Out vs. Jaguars on Monday Night

Matt Derrick October 6, 2025

Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy, despite a brief scare on Sunday, will play Monday night when the team takes on the Jaguars in Jacksonville.

Jacksonville, however, will be missing one of its biggest stars in defensive end Travon Walker.

Defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott (shoulder) and cornerback Kristian Fulton (ankle) will not play Monday night. Both players were listed as questionable on the team’s Saturday injury report.

Worthy was a late addition to the injury report after developing swelling in his ankle during the club’s Sunday afternoon flight to Jacksonville. Worthy participated in warm-ups before the game and was cleared to play. He was a full participant in practice during the week despite his lingering shoulder injury.

The Chiefs will carry insurance for Worthy’s injury into Monday night’s game with seven active receivers. In addition to Worthy, the Chiefs will have available Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Tyquan Thornton, Jalen Royals, Nikko Remigio and Jason Brownlee. Brownlee did not play last week against Baltimore.

Norman-Lott did not practice Saturday after sustaining a shoulder injury during practice Friday. He missed the season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers due to a sprained ankle, but played in the last three games, including a start against the Baltimore Ravens, tallying a sack and five tackles in his appearances.

The Chiefs elevated defensive tackle Marlon Tuipulotu from the practice squad Monday to fill the absence of Norman-Lott. Tuipulotu also filled in for Norman-Lott in Week 1 against the Chargers, but played only three snaps on defense.

The Jaguars’ Walker suffered a wrist injury in last week’s win over San Francisco and had surgery early last week. The team listed Walker as questionable after he returned to practice in a limited role Saturday. Walker has 12 total tackles on the season, including two sacks, and he also tipped a pass. He’s recorded 10 and 10 1/2 sacks during the past two seasons.

Also inactive for Jacksonville is former Chiefs defensive tackle Khalen Saunders. He’s played in just one game for the Jaguars this season, registering two combined tackles.
