Week 5: Thursday injury report

Herbie Teope October 3, 2013

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For a second straight day, the Chiefs list 14 on the official NFL Injury Report.

However, unlike Wednesday, only two players are listed as not practicing with right tackle Eric Fisher (concussion) and tight end Travis Kelce (knee).

Good news arrived with running back Jamaal Charles, who battled blisters after Week Four’s win against the New York Giants, putting in a limited practice. Charles sat out Wednesday’s session.

Also practicing in a limited fashion in consecutive days is cornerback Brandon Flowers, who’s been battling a knee injury.

Joining Charles and Flowers as limited participants on Thursday are guard Jeff Allen (groin), punter Dustin Colquitt (knee), tight end Anthony Fasano and safety Kendrick Lewis (ankle).

Fasano put in his second straight day of limited practice and appears set to return to the lineup.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing where he’s at through practice and on into the weekend,” Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson said of Fasano during Thursday’s media session.

The Chiefs list guard Jon Asamoah (knee), cornerback Marcus Cooper (knee, thigh), center Rodney Hudson (shin), linebacker James-Michael Johnson (thumb), tight end Sean McGrath (knee) and running back Anthony Sherman (knee) as full participants.

Hudson and McGrath were limited during Wednesday’s practice.
