Week 4: Thursday injury report

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs had good news on Thursday, as starting cornerback Brandon Flowers (knee) and safety Kendrick Lewis (ankle) returned to the practice field after missing Wednesday’s session.

Flowers and Lewis are listed as limited on the official NFL Injury Report, but their presence is a good sign surrounding their availability for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.

Both players were on the field during the portion of practice open to the media and appeared to move without limitations during drills.

Still, with the good comes the bad news.

Starting tight end Anthony Fasano (ankle/knee) missed a second straight day of practice along with his primary backup, Travis Kelce (knee), and starting guard Jeff Allen (groin).

Backup tight ends Sean McGrath and Kevin Brock will be busy for a second straight week if Fasano and Kelce are unavailable on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs list left tackle Branden Albert (shoulder) and defensive lineman Mike DeVito (neck) as limited participants for a second straight day.

Fullback Anthony Sherman (knee) and linebacker Frank Zombo (elbow) practiced fully.

Thursday’s official NFL Injury Report as released by the league:
