Week 14: Thursday injury report

Week 14: Thursday injury report

Herbie Teope December 5, 2013

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs have good news on Thursday’s injury report ahead of Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins.

Previously listed as limited on Wednesday, defensive end Mike DeVito (knee) and free safety Kendrick Lewis (knee) returned to a full practice Thursday.

For DeVito, this offers a good sign he’s close to 100 percent since suffering his knee injury in Week 11.

Additionally, the Chiefs removed right tackle Eric Fisher (shoulder) and right guard Jon Asamoah (shoulder) from the report. Both players were listed as full participants on Wednesday.

Not practicing for a second straight day are starting left tackle Branden Albert (knee), starting outside linebacker Justin Houston (elbow), who was observed Thursday in the Chiefs training facility with a black brace on his right elbow, and starting tight end Anthony Fasano (concussion, knee).

If Fasano is unavailable for Sunday, look for the Chiefs to elevate Dominique Jones from the practice to provide depth behind Sean McGrath, who started four games in place of Fasano earlier in the season.

McGrath has played in all 12 games this season.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs list the following as full participants for a second straight day: Guard Jeff Allen (groin, knee), wide receiver Donnie Avery (shoulder), outside linebacker Tamba Hali (ankle), center Rodney Hudson (elbow), wide receiver A.J. Jenkins (hand), cornerback Ron Parker (shoulder), offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz (biceps), fullback Anthony Sherman (knee, ankle).

The Redskins list eight players on their injury report, with four as limited participants and four as full participants.
