KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs appear set to welcome back wide receiver Donnie Avery to the lineup.

Avery (groin) put in a full practice Friday and is officially listed as probable, which as defined by the NFL means a “virtual certainty will be available for normal duty.”

Still, coach Andy Reid was coy on Avery’s role or if the seventh year-pro would suit up.

“There’s a chance,” Reid said after Friday’s practice. “He practiced this week and looked pretty good. We will see how things go.”

Avery has missed seven straight games since undergoing a sports hernia procedure in early October. His return would provide a boost considering wide receiver Junior Hemingway is ruled out with a concussion.

The Chiefs list cornerback cornerback Chris Owens (knee, abdomen) and defensive lineman Kevin Vickerson (calf) as questionable.

Owens, who has missed two straight games, put in a full practice despite the questionable designation.

Vikerson was joined by linebacker Tamba Hali (knee), tight end Anthony Fasano (knee) and cornerback Jamell Fleming (hamstring) as limited participants during Friday’s practice.

Hali, Fasano and Fleming, however, are listed as probable.

The remaining players on the Chiefs injury report listed as probable are punter Dustin Colquitt (right calf), cornerback Sean Smith (groin) and offensive lineman Donald Stephenson (shoulder).

The Broncos notables include running backs Montee Ball (groin) and Ronnie Hillman, both of whom are ruled out.

Tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) is questionable.
