KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs signed defensive tackle Cory Grissom to a free-agent contract, according to a source.
While the source didn’t disclose the terms of Grissom’s deal, Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports it’s a one-year deal.

Wilson was the first to report Grissom’s signing on Twitter. The Chiefs haven’t officially announced the signing.
Listed at 6-foot-1, 316 pounds, Grissom, who played collegiately at South Florida, entered the league in 2013 as an undrafted free agent with the New England Patriots.
However, Grissom’s rookie season never got going, as the Patriots placed him on season-ending injured reserve after he suffered a high ankle sprain during the preseason.
He finished the preseason with five tackles (three solo).
New England recently announced Grissom’s release on March 10, a day before the start of the league’s calendar year.
The addition of Grissom comes a day after defensive tackle Jerrell Powe signed with the Houston Texans.
Grissom fills depth as the Chiefs add to the roster ahead of organized team activities (OTAs) in the coming month.
