KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs don’t have any surprises on the inactive list, as strong safety Eric Berry (ankle) will play against the New York Jets.
The Chiefs list wide receiver Donnie Avery (groin), cornerback Jamell Fleming (hamstring), cornerback Chris Owens (knee), linebacker Josh Martin (hamstring), quarterback Aaron Murray, offensive lineman Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and center Eric Kush as inactive.
Meanwhile, Berry makes his first appearance since suffering a high ankle sprain in Week 2 and after missing five straight games.
It remains to be seen if Berry will start or how much playing time he’ll receive after he put in a limited practice for three straight days the past week.
The Chiefs have defensive back Ron Parker and rookie safety Daniel Sorensen, who was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, as depth behind Berry.
Wide receiver A.J. Jenkins draws the start in Avery’s place.
