KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Week 11’s Chiefs at Denver Broncos matchup on Nov. 17 has been flexed to 8:30 p.m. ET to air on NBC Sunday Night Football, the NFL announced Friday.
The game was originally scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET, but moving the game made sense giving the teams’ current respective records and growing national attention.
“We had originally protected the Kansas City-Denver game for Week 11,” CBS Sports said in a statement. “After discussions with the NFL we made a one-time accommodation so that the game can be seen by a national audience, which we could not provide during our regionalized singleheader weekend.”
The Chiefs enter Week Nine at 8-0, while the Broncos are currently 7-1 and on a bye.
Kansas City enters its bye in Week 10 and the Week 11 matchup featured the AFC’s top two teams.
The flexing of Chiefs-Broncos replaces the originally scheduled Green Bay Packers (5-2) at New York Giants (2-6) contest.
