TE Fasano among inactives

TE Fasano among inactives

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Chiefs tight end Anthony Fasano (ankle, knee) headlines the team’s list of inactive players for Week Five’s contest against the Titans, Bob Gretz reports.

Rookie right tackle Eric Fisher (concussion) also appears on the list, but the Chiefs previously declared him as “out” on Friday’s official NFL Injury Report.

Fasano, who was limited in practice throughout the week and appeared as “questionable” on the injury report, misses a third straight game. And with tight end Travis Kelce (knee) also out, the Chiefs will lean on tight ends Sean McGrath and Kevin Brock for another week.

McGrath has emerged as a reliable weapon since Fasano suffered the ankle injury in Week Two’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. McGrath recorded his first touchdown reception of the season in Week Four’s 31-7 win against the New York Giants.

Second-year offensive lineman Donald Stephenson is expected to draw the start in Fisher’s place. And with guard Jeff Allen (groin) returning to the lineup, the Chiefs have versatile offensive linemen Geoff Schwartz available.

The remaining inactives for the Chiefs include quarterback Tyler Bray, linebacker Nico Johnson, center Eric Kush and defensive tackle Jaye Howard.

Meanwhile, cornerback Brandon Flowers (knee) and safety Kendrick Lewis (ankle), both of whom entered Sunday as “questionable,” are in uniform, ESPN.com’s Adam Teicher reports on Twitter.
