Chiefs bring back McDougald

Chiefs bring back McDougald

Herbie Teope September 18, 2013

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs signed rookie safety Bradley McDougald to the practice squad on Wednesday, the team announced.

The Chiefs waived McDougald, a product of the University of Kansas, on Monday to make room for tight end Kevin Brock. McDougald was active for Week Two’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, but did not play.

Since setting the initial 53-man roster on Aug. 31, the Chiefs have waived McDougald twice (Sept. 1 and Sept. 16), only to bring him back.

To pave the way for McDougald’s return, the Chiefs released fullback Toben Opurum, who like McDougald is a former Kansas Jayhawk.
