KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs on Monday announced the waiving of rookie safety Bradley McDougald and signing of tight end Kevin Brock.

McDougald, a local product out of Kansas University, recently spent time on the team’s practice squad. He was active for Week Two’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, but did not play.

Brock, who first signed with the Chiefs on Feb. 12, 2013, has been primarily a practice squad member since joining the league in 2009 as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers with the Carolina Panthers.

However, the signing of Brock gives the Chiefs much-needed depth at the tight end position.

Starting tight end Anthony Fasano suffered a sprained ankle during Sunday’s win against the Cowboys, while rookie tight end Travis Kelce has been battling a knee injury.
