KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Dunta Robinson is not expected to play on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, ESPN’s Ed Werder reports.
Robinson, who is listed as questionable, not injury related on the official NFL Injury Report, missed all three days of practice this week after being excused for undisclosed personal matters by coach Andy Reid.
Robinson is home with a first cousin who is in a coma and requires a breathing machine after being struck by a vehicle, Werder reports.
In the meantime, the Chiefs haven’t officially ruled out Robinson as of late Saturday afternoon.
If Robinson isn’t available on Sunday, the Chiefs could turn to Ron Parker, who is listed behind Robinson on the depth chart, or Marcus Cooper.
Either Parker or Cooper will be expected to complement starting cornerbacks Sean Smith and Brandon Flowers against a potent Cowboys’ receiving corps.
