Week 2: Thursday injury report

Week 2: Thursday injury report

Herbie Teope September 12, 2013

Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles (quadricep) returned to the practice field on Thursday on a limited basis, according to the official NFL Injury Report.

Expect the Chiefs to take it easy with Charles, who did not practice on Wednesday.

Various Chiefs media members observed Charles participating in warmups and drills during Thursday afternoon’s  practice session open to the media.

And barring a setback, none saw a reason to be alarmed over his availability for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys:

Jamaal Charles did everything rest of running backs were doing in part of practice we saw. More than yesterday. #Chiefs — Dave Skretta (@APdaveskretta) September 12, 2013

Meanwhile, rookie tight end Travis Kelce (knee) is listed as not practicing after putting in a limited practice on Wednesday.

Defensive back Dunta Robinson missed a second straight day of practice for personal reasons.

The Chiefs list safety Husain Abdullah (foot), right guard Jon Asamoah (calf), linebacker Nico Johnson (ankle), linebacker Dezman Moses (toe) and offensive tackle Donald Stephenson (shoulder) as full participants for a second straight day.

Thurday’s official NFL Injury Report, as released by the league:
