Chiefs Injury Report: DE Alex Okafor, LT Eric Fisher Out vs. Tennessee

Matt Derrick November 8, 2019

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will return to the starting lineup in Week 10 for the club's visit to Tennessee in Week 10, but the club ruled out on Friday left tackle Eric Fisher (groin) and defensive end Alex Okafor (ankle).

Three other starters remain game-day decisions. Defensive end Frank Clark (neck) returned to practice in a limited role this week, but he is listed as questionable against Titans. Right guard Laurent-Duvernay (ankle) and cornerback Kendall Fuller (thumb) are also listed as questionable for Sunday's game.

If Duvernay-Tardif can't play, that would leave intact a starting line consisting of Cam Erving, Martinas Rankin, Austin Reiter, Andrew Wylie and Mitchell Schwartz.

"I'm good with the O-line and with the way that they've filled in the blanks and done their thing," Reid said. "You'd love to have everybody, but sometimes in this business, you don't. But (Duvernay-Tardif) worked this week and did a good job. With that type of an injury, he has a tweak here or there. Things happen. But he has come out and worked through some of the things."

If Clark can't play, that would leave Tanoh Kpassagnon and Emmaneul Ogbah as the team's only healthy full-time defensive ends available for the game. That likely means another expanded workload for lineman Chris Jones as an edge rusher on the end.
