KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Chiefs signed the first of their 2018 draft picks on Monday, inking sixth-round cornerback Tremon Smith to a rookie deal.

Smith received a four-year contract worth $2.6 million dollars, per a league source. The contract includes a signing bonus of roughly $150,000. The contract averages to around $653,000 per year.
The contract carries a cap hit of $518,451 in 2018 and increases to $788,451 in 2021.
The Chiefs also signed three tryout players on Monday. BYU center Tejan Koroma, Indiana linebacker Rob McCray and Villanova cornerback Malik Reaves each inked deals with the team.
The Chiefs have five draft picks remaining unsigned: second-round pick Breeland Speaks, third-round selections Derrick Nnadi and Dorian O’Daniel, fourth-round choice Armani Watts and the team’s other sixth-round selection Kahlil McKenzie.
