Chiefs safety Ron Parker questionable against Patriots

Chiefs safety Ron Parker questionable against Patriots

Matt Derrick September 6, 2017

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Chiefs reported its entire 53-man active roster participating in the team’s final walk-through before taking on the New England Patriots in the kickoff to the 2017 NFL season.

The full practice designation comes with a grain of salt, however — with a shortened practice week and the game one day away, Wednesday’s practice is a light walk-through. It’s not the same as a regular week practice two days before a Sunday kick.

The Chiefs listed safety Ron Parker as questionable with an ankle injury. It appears likely he will play Thursday, but it what capacity is unknown. The team listed left guard Parker Ehinger and linebacker Reggie Ragland as doubtful. Both are likely among the seven inactives for the game.

Cornerback Terrance Mitchell, who missed the last three preseason games with a hamstring injury, practiced in full all week has not no game status designation. That means he’s likely to play. The same holds true for kicker Cairo Santos, who missed the team’s first three preseason games.

Tight end Travis Kelce, who was limited earlier in the week with a calf injury, also carries no game status designation.

The Patriots list six players as questionable and one player doubtful, but none are listed as starters on the team’s depth chart.
