KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Fans attending the Kansas City Chiefs divisional playoff game Jan. 15 have a bit more time to tailgate and arrive than usual, with the team opening parking lots at 6:30 a.m. and stadium gates at 10 a.m. for the 12:05 p.m. kickoff.

A team spokesperson said expectations are for a capacity crowd along with heavier than normal amount of traffic entering the stadium. It’s hoped that providing a longer entry window both into the parking lots and the stadium will easy congestion and delays for fans.
During the first hour from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m., fans can “open park” in their preferred locations in certain lots or approved grass areas. Open parking will be available in Lots C, D, F and G and along perimeter of Lot N. Fans must have a parking permit for their designated lot.
Once open parking ends, fans will be directed to the next available spot in all lots.
The team will award Chiefs Kingdom Rewards members with special points for early arrival if their prepaid parking passes are scanned before 8 a.m.
Stadium gates will open for all ticket holders at 10 a.m. Entrances for ticket holders on the suite level open at 9 a.m., along with The Draft Room sports bar.
Fans attending the game can get more information and purchase parking passes online for $35 plus applicable fees at www.chiefs.com/parking. Parking passes cost $60 on game day.
