KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs appear healthier ahead of Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders.
Outside linebacker Justin Houston put in a limited practice for the first time since suffering a hyperextended knee in Week 12. Houston is listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.
Safety Husain Abdullah offers another sign of encouragement after he practiced in a limited fashion the entire week. Abdullah, who hasn’t played since sustaining a concussion during practice on Dec. 3, is officially designated as questionable.
The Chiefs list outside linebacker Tamba Hali (thumb, knee) as questionable. Hali, who did not play in Week 16, missed all three days of practice the past week.
But the Chiefs practicing indoors on turf in the past week played a role in the decision to keep Hali off the field.
“We don’t want his knee to swell,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said.
Right tackle Jah Reid (knee) is listed as questionable after not practicing the entire week. The Chiefs have options if Reid is unavailable Sunday, and they include potentially moving left guard Jeff Allen (ankle, probable) to right tackle and Zach Fulton to left guard. The Chiefs could also insert Donald Stephenson at right tackle and leave Allen at left guard.
Outside linebacker Dee Ford (knee), tight end Travis Kelce (groin), running back Spencer Ware (rib) and wide receiver Albert Wilson (shin) are probable.
The Raiders list five players on the final injury report, with wide receiver Amari Cooper (foot), defensive end Khalil Mack (knee) and safety Charles Woodson (shoulder) as probable.
