Ware, who played just two snaps on special teams in Week 15, should be on track for a bigger role Sunday against the Cleveland Brown barring a setback.

Wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas (concussion) put in a full practice for a second straight day and is set to return to action.

Guard Jeff Allen (ankle) also put in a full practice for a second straight day and looks on track to return after missing the past two games. Tight end Travis Kelce (groin) continues to put in full practices.

The Chiefs added outside linebacker Dee Ford to the report with a knee injury. Ford practiced fully.

The Chiefs will need Ford when considering outside linebackers Tamba Hali (thumb, knee) and Justin Houston (knee) did not practice for a second straight day. Hali underwent surgery on his right thumb on Tuesday.

Ford and Frank Zombo are the likely starters if Hali and Houston are out.

Safety Husain Abdullah continues to miss practice and hasn’t played since suffering a concussion in practice on Dec. 3.

The Browns continue to list 12 players on the injury report, but Thursday’s list saw some movement with key starters on the offensive line.

Center Alex Mack (calf) and left tackle Joe Thomas (knee) put in a limited practice Thursday after not practicing Wednesday.
