Change at key leadership positions won’t happen anytime soon despite the Kansas City Chiefs’ sluggish start to the season.

Chiefs chairman and CEO Clark Hunt offered total support of coach Andy Reid and general manager John Dorsey while addressing reporters Sunday morning in London before the Chiefs played the Detroit Lions at Wembley Stadium.
“I have full confidence in Andy and John Dorsey, think they’re the right people to lead our football team,” Hunt told reporters. “They’re as disappointed as I am, but I think they’re the right guys to lead us not only this year but going forward.”
Hunt added his endorsement of Reid and Dorsey holds true regardless how the Chiefs finish the 2015 campaign.
“They’re both extremely talented, they do a great job,” Hunt said. “They have very good staffs, they do a good job of leading their staffs, so they’re the right guys for the Kansas City Chiefs.”
The Chiefs entered the 2015 campaign with postseason goals and started the season 1-0.
But the team went on to lose five straight games before snapping the skid in Week 7 to enter Sunday’s game at 2-5.
“I don’t think there was a good explanation for it, and there wasn’t just one thing,” Hunt told reporters of the team’s start. “We lost as a team. Until last week when we played better across all three phases of the game and played a full four quarters, we just hadn’t done what we needed to, to win a football game.”
The Chiefs rewarded Hunt’s pregame support of Reid and Dorsey with an emphatic 45-10 win against the Lions to move to 3-5 on the season.
Sunday’s victory also gave the Chiefs momentum entering the bye week on a two-game winning streak ahead of Week 10’s game against the Broncos in Denver.
