KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs designated 12 players as “not expected to play” Friday night against the Seattle Seahawks with no major surprises.
Coach Andy Reid said Wednesday the following would not play: Offensive linemen Jeff Allen (knee), Eric Fisher (ankle) and Tavon Rooks (shortness of breath); quarterback Tyler Bray (knee), tight end Demetrius Harris (foot), wide receiver Junior Hemingway, linebacker Justin March (knee), defensive tackle Dontari Poe (back).
Reid said wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas (shin), linebacker Josh Mauga (heel) and safety Sanders Commings (knee) were questionable, but neither of the trio are expected to play.
Thomas suffered his injury in the preseason opener and did practice the past week.
Offensive lineman Garrett Frye, who returned to practice Wednesday after missing time with a knee injury, is not expected to play.
Rookie wide receiver Chris Conley and defensive end Mike Catapano are expected to play.
