Chiefs QB Tyler Bray now jogging, running

Chiefs QB Tyler Bray now jogging, running

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Chiefs backup quarterback Tyler Bray appears to be doing well on the road to recovery from a torn ACL suffered in January.

Bray, who underwent surgery shortly after the injury, took to Instagram on Thursday night to post a video of himself jogging on a treadmill with the caption: “Finally able to jog/run.”

Finally able to jog/run.

A video posted by Tyler Bray (@tbraychief9) on Apr 29, 2015 at 5:49pm PDT

The 6-6, 215-pound Bray was not present when the Chiefs reported for the first day of the offseason workout program on April 20.

“He is rehabbing,” coach Andy Reid said then. “He’s not doing it here on campus. He’s off campus doing it, but he is rehabbing.”

It is unclear from looking at the photo if Bray remains off campus or is now back with the team and rehabilitating in Kansas City.

Bray, who joined the Chiefs in 2013 as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee, spent the 2014 season on injured reserve after suffering knee and ankle injuries in the last preseason game.

Kansas City addressed quarterback depth with the signing of quarterback Terrelle Pryor to a reserve/future contract on Jan. 8.

The Chiefs currently have Pryor, Alex Smith, Chase Daniel and Aaron Murray as healthy quarterback options with Bray currently rehabilitating.
