KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Linebacker Dee Ford will miss his fifth game this season when the Kansas City Chiefs lineup Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, but the team hopes to have wide receiver Albert Wilson and defensive end Allen Bailey available, with the debut of a Darrelle Revis a possibility as well.
The team ruled Ford out on Friday with a lingering back injury. The club also listed out linebacker Terrance Smith, who remains in the league’s concussion protocol.
Wilson, who missed the team’s last two games with a knee injury, practiced in full Thursday and Friday but remains questionable for Sunday’s game. Head coach Andy Reid said Wilson did well in practice.
“He was moving around good,” Reid said. “We’ll see how he is after today but I mean he was doing good.”
Bailey missed last week’s game with a sprained knee. His potential return should bolster a Chiefs front seven that failed to register a sack against the New York Giants in Week 11. The team listed him as questionable, and he appears less likely to play than Wilson.
The team also listed linebacker Tamba Hali (knee) as questionable. He ddid not play last week after lining up for the first time this season against in Week 9 against Dallas with 23 snaps.
The potential debut of Revis remains the most intriguing possibility for the Chiefs heading into Sunday. The club signed Revis on Wednesday, and Reid didn’t rule out the possibility he makes his first appearance for the Chiefs against Buffalo. Revis has not played since last taking the field for the New York Jets last season.
“He moved around good today,” Reid said. “Amazing that he’s been out for while, but he sure looked good moving around.”
The Bills face a long list of injuries on the offensive side of the ball. The team ruled out left tackle Cordy Glenn on Friday along with backup lineman John Miller and and backup running back Mike Tolbert. This make the fifth game Glenn misses with a lower leg injury.
Injuries also have hit the team’s wide receiver corps. The team listed Kelvin Benjamin (knee) as questionable, even though he did not practice during the week with a knee issue. Benjamin’s running made Jordan Matthew (knee) also appears questionable. Backup Deonte Thompson also appears questionable while Andrew Holmes (ankle) practiced in full this week.
