KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs had good news on Thursday’s injury report ahead of Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams.

Wide receiver Junior Hemingway (hamstring) returned to the practice field, albeit in a limited basis, after missing Wednesday’s workout.

Hemingway joins strong safety Eric Berry (ankle), tight end Travis Kelce (ribs) and cornerback Sean Smith (groin) as officially listed as putting in a limited practice.

Thursday marked the second straight day of a limited workout for Berry, who hasn’t played since suffering a high ankle sprain in Week 2.

Running back Cyrus Gray (hand) and outside linebacker Justin Houston (ankle) practiced fully for the second straight day.

The Chiefs have already ruled out wide receiver Donnie Avery, who underwent a sports hernia procedure on Oct. 3.

Cornerback Chris Owens (knee) did not practice for a second straight day, putting his status for Sunday in doubt. Rookie cornerback Phillip Gaines would make a second straight start at the nickel position if Owens can’t go.

The Rams have an addition and changes from Wednesday’s injury report.

Running back Benny Cunningham (knee) was added to Thursday’s report. Wide receiver Kenny Britt (ankle) put in a full practice Thursday after missing Wednesday’s practice.
