Week 3: Tuesday injury report

Week 3: Tuesday injury report

Herbie Teope September 17, 2013

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs have concerns at tight end as the team prepares for Thursday night’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Starter Anthony Fasano (ankle) missed a second straight day of practice, while rookie Travis Kelce (knee) returned to the field on Tuesday in a limited fashion.

Kelce, the team’s third-round pick (63rd overall), has been dinged up since the preseason and he voiced his anguish during Tuesday’s open locker room media session.

“It’s been a frustrating experience,” he said. “Heck, you wait your entire life to play in the NFL and then when you get here you’re kind of banged up to the point where you can’t really get out on the field and do the things you want to do. But it’s a process, and right now, I’m just going through it.”

With Sean McGrath the lone healthy option after Week Two action, the Chiefs brought back tight end Kevin Brock on Monday to bolster depth.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs list cornerback Brandon Flowers (knee) as limited.

Putting in a full practice on Tuesday are left tackle Branden Albert (shoulder), defensive end Mike Devito (neck) and linebackers James-Michael Johnson (neck), Nico Johnson (ankle) and Dezman Moses (toe).

The Eagles list seven players for Thursday night’s game.
