KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs continue to list 12 players on the injury report, but with tweaking of designations from Wednesday’s report.

Running back Jamaal Charles, who did not practice Wednesday, returned to the field Thursday just four days after suffering a high ankle sprain.

Charles was observed participating in warm-ups and position drills during the portion of practice open to the media. The Chiefs officially list Charles as limited, meaning he took part in some fashion during team-related drills.

But with good news comes bad.

Rookie running back/wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas did not practice Thursday, a day after putting in a limited session on Wednesday. The explosive Thomas suffered a hamstring injury on Sept. 3 and hasn’t played in a regular-season game.

Strong safety Eric Berry (ankle), who missed Wednesday’s practice, joins Thomas as the second player not practicing Thursday.

Outside linebacker Tamba Hali (ankle/knee) put in a limited practice for a second straight day.

The Chiefs list free safety Husain Abdullah (foot/quad), wide receiver Dwayne Bowe (quad), running back Cyrus Gray (foot), wide receiver Frankie Hammond Jr. (shoulder), wide receiver Junior Hemingway (hip), center Eric Kush (shoulder), linebacker Josh Martin (quad/tricep) and wide receiver Albert Wilson (ankle) as full participants.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins list 14 players on the initial injury report a day after listing 15. The Dolphins removed safety Louis Delmas (calf) from Thursday’s report.

Former Chiefs left tackle Branden Albert (shoulder) put in a limited practice for the second straight day.
