KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Chiefs running back Spencer Ware returned to practice Thursday in preparations for Sunday’s game at Houston, but the team continues missing two of its starting offensive linemen.
Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin also appeared on the team’s practice report but it is not injury related. Maclin missed practice for personal reasons, but spoke with reporters in the locker before leaving the team’s training complex.
Starting offensive guards Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and Parker Ehinger both missed practice Thursday. Duvernay-Tardif suffered an high-ankle sprain during last weekend’s game against San Diego. The rookie Ehinger sustained a concussion during practice Wednesday.
The team expects to provide an status update Friday for both players and their availability for Sunday’s game.
J.J. Watt remained limited in practice for the Texans but is expected to play. The Texans will play without tackle Duane Brown (knee) and linebacker Brian Cushing (knee).
