KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs had good news Thursday with running back Jamaal Charles and tight end Anthony Fasano returning to practice.
Charles (knee, ankle) and Fasano (knee) are officially listed as limited after not practicing Wednesday. Both appear on track to play Sunday against the Oakland Raiders barring a setback.
Linebacker Joe Mays (knee) rounds out the group of the players putting in a limited practice Thursday. Mays was also limited Wednesday.
Defensive end Allen Bailey (concussion), rookie cornerback Phillip Gaines (concussion) and linebacker Tamba Hali (knee) did not practice Thursday. Bailey and Hali have missed two straight days, while Gaines sat out after sustaining a concussion during Wednesday afternoon’s practice.
Meanwhile, wide receiver Donnie Avery (groin) put in a full practice after being limited Wednesday.
The seventh-year pro joins free safety Husain Abdullah (foot), wide receiver Junior Hemingway (concussion), linebacker James-Michael Johnson (back, knee), cornerback Chris Owens (knee) and cornerback Sean Smith (groin) as full participants.
Hemingway, who missed the past two games, practiced fully for a second straight day and should be available Sunday.
The Raiders list safety Larry Asante (shoulder, quadriceps) and defensive tackle Pat Sims as not practicing. Both players were limited Wednesday.
Oakland also added linebacker Sio Moore to the injury report with hip injury. Moore was limited during Thursday’s practice.
