KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs have good news on the initial injury report ahead of Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.

Wide receiver Donnie Avery (groin) put in a full practice for the first time since he returned to practice in Week 10 after undergoing a sports hernia procedure in early October.

While Avery has participated in limited practices the last three weeks, he has missed seven straight games.

The seventh-year pro appears on track to return to the lineup barring a setback.

“I think Donnie has a pretty good shot,” coach Andy Reid said after the morning walk-through surrounding Avery’s chances of playing Sunday.

The Chiefs also list cornerback Jamell Fleming (hamstring) as a full participant. Fleming has missed four straight games and Reid also appeared optimistic of Fleming’s return.

“Yes,” Reid replied when asked if Fleming had a chance to play, “absolutely yes.”

Meanwhile, the Chiefs list as not practicing tight end Anthony Fasano (knee), wide receiver Junior Hemingway (concussion) and defensive lineman Kevin Vickerson (calf).

Hemingway and Vickerson suffered their respective injuries in Week 12’s loss against the Oakland Raiders.

Fasano, who originally suffered his injury in Week 11, missing practice appeared more precautionary than anything else.

“He’s just going to sit out today,” Reid said.

The Chiefs list as limited participants punter Dustin Colquitt (right calf), cornerback Chris Owens (knee, abdomen) and linebacker Tamba Hali (knee).

Owens has missed two straight games.

Offensive lineman Donald Stephenson (shoulder) and cornerback Sean Smith (groin) round out the injury list as full participants.

The Broncos list 11 players on the initial report, notables include running back Montee Ball (groin), cornerback Aqib Talib (hamstring) and tight end Julius Thomas, all of whom did not practice Wednesday.
