KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Chiefs wide receiver Junior Hemingway (concussion) missed a second day of practice Thursday ahead of Sunday night’s game against the Denver Broncos.

Hemingway, who suffered the concussion in Week 12, is the only player to not practice.

Chiefs tight end Anthony Fasano (knee) and defensive lineman Kevin Vickerson (calf), both of whom missed Wednesday’s workout, returned to practice Thursday albeit in a limited fashion.

The duo are joined by wide receiver Donnie Avery (groin), cornerbacks Chris Owens (knee, abdomen) and Jamell Fleming (hamstring), and linebacker Tamba Hali (knee) as limited.

Avery and Fleming practiced fully Wednesday, and the team could be taking a precautionary route with them. Coach Andy Reid appeared optimistic Wednesday of having Avery and Fleming available for Sunday.

Punter Dustin Colquitt (right calf) returned to a full practice after being limited Wednesday.

Offensive lineman Donald Stephenson (shoulder) and cornerback Sean Smith (groin) practiced fully for a second straight day.

Meanwhile, the Bronocs list tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) as a limited participant a day after Thomas did not practice.

Coach John Fox told Broncos reporters Thursday that Thomas, who did not play in Week 12, is “day-to-day” when asked about the starting tight end’s availability against the Chiefs.

“I don’t like trying to predict the future,” Fox told reporters. “We’ll take it one day at a time and see where they are tomorrow.”
