KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs continue to list 10 players on the official NFL Injury Report.
But Thursday brought good news for outside linebacker Tamba Hali (ankle), who returned to a limited practice after sitting out Wednesday’s session. Hali was also observed going through the portion of Thursday’s pre-practice warm-up drills wearing his helmet.
Getting Hali back would offer a boost to the Chiefs defense since it doesn’t appear the team will have outside linebacker Justin Houston (elbow), Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports on Twitter.

The Chiefs officially list Houston and backup defensive back Sanders Commings (shoulder) as not practicing Thursday. Linebacker Frank Zombo will likely draw the start in place of Houston.
Listed as limited are Hali, starting right guard Jon Asamoah (shoulder), starting defensive end Mike Devito (knee) and starting right tackle Eric Fisher (shoulder).
Putting in a full practice for a second straight day are starting left guard Jeff Allen (groin), starting fullback Anthony Sherman, starting defensive end Tyson Jackson and backup defensive end Mike Catapano (ankle).
Of note for the Denver Broncos, quarterback Peyton Manning (ankle) put in a full practice Thursday after sitting out Wednesay.
Also returning to practice are running back Knowshon Moreno (ankle) and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (shoulder), both of whom did not practice Wednesday.
