KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs list 11 players on the initial injury report for Thursday night’s game against the Oakland Raiders.
Wide receiver Donnie Avery (groin), wide receiver A.J. Jenkins (shoulder), and cornerback Chris Owens (knee) show as not practiced, as expected when considering coach Andy Reid made that announcement during Monday’s media conference call.
The Chiefs list tight end Anthony Fasano (knee), linebacker Tamba Hali (knee) and left guard Mike McGlynn (knee) as limited.
Monday marked Fasano’s first practice since he suffered the injury in Week 10. Fasano did not play in Week 11.
The Chiefs list the following as full participants: Cornerback Jamell Fleming (hamstring), right guard Zach Fulton (ankle), cornerback Phillip Gaines (ankle, quadricep), tight end Travis Kelce (ribs, shoulder) and cornerback Sean Smith (groin).
Fleming practiced for the first time since suffering his injury in Week 8. He has missed three straight games, but this is a good sign he could return to action this week.
The Raiders list six players on the initial report, including quarterback Derek Carr, who was limited Monday with a quad injury.
Of note for both teams, Monday practices following a Sunday game are commonly used as a walk-through.
