Week 11: Thursday injury report

Herbie Teope November 14, 2013

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs appear healthier on Thursday’s official NFL Injury Report.

Rookie defensive lineman Mike Catapano (ankle) and wide receiver Dexter McCluster (ankle) put in a full practice Thursday after being limited Wednesday.

Catapano appears primed to return to action after missing Week Nine with a sprained ankle.

Additionally, wide receiver Donnie Avery (shoulder), tight end Anthony Fasano (ankle, knee), tight end Sean McGrath (knee), linebacker Dezman Moses (toe) and fullback Anthony Sherman (knee, calf) practiced fully for a second straight day.

The lone Chiefs player to not practice was punter Dustin Colquitt, but for good reason.

Colquitt’s wife went into labor before practice, leading to Colquitt’s departure from the team’s training facility. The couple is expecting their fifth child.

Meanwhile, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning (ankle) returned to practice in a limited basis after sitting out Wednesday. Manning is expected to start Sunday.

Other notables for Denver, include wide receiver Wes Welker (ankle) put in a full practice Thursday after being limited Wednesday, tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) practiced fully for a second straight day and cornerback Champ Bailey (foot) was limited for a second straight day.
