KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs on Wednesday announced roster moves.
The team elevated offensive lineman Rokevious Watkins from the practice squad to the active 53-man roster. To fill the hole on the squad, the Chiefs signed tight end Dominique Jones.
Watkins originally signed with the practice squad on Sept. 1 and originally entered the league out of South Carolina in 2012 as a fifth-round pick of the St. Louis Rams. He was an All-SEC selection at South Carolina.
Listed at 6-foot-3, 270 pounds, Jones played in 10 games with three starts in two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts from 2012-13.
Jones started two games this season with the Colts, totaling two catches for 34 yards. He entered the league in 2012 as an undrafted free agent out of Shepard University.
The Chiefs now have two tight ends on the practice squad with Jones and Demetrius Harris.
The Chiefs waived tight end Kevin Brock Tuesday.
