Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and safety Tyrann Mathieu added to their string of postseason honors on Monday with their inclusion on both the All-NFL and All-AFC teams as voted by the Pro Football Writers of America.
It’s the third All-NFL honor for Kelce and second for Mathieu from the writers’ group. The Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts led the way with three selections to the All-NFL team. The Chiefs were one of five teams with two players selected to the All-NFL team along with the Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams, New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Three other Chiefs were named to the All-AFC team: quarterback Patrick Mahomes, wide receiver Tyreek Hill and defensive tackle Chris Jones. The Chiefs were one of three teams with five selections on the All-AFC team along with Cleveland and Indianapolis.
Kelce and Jones have landed on the All-AFC team for each of the last three seasons.
