Deon Yelder at No. 2 tight end followed by Blake Bell doesn't entirely match what training camp reps and coaches comments. It's a close competition, but more often than not Bell gets the first reps behind Travis Kelce with the No. 1 offense and more reps in total with the group. Watch for Nick Keizer, though. Lot of strength, good size and has shown solid hands in camp.

John Lovett is a true hybrid, working with the running back position group but occasional taking reps at tight end. He shouldn't figure into the tight end competition, other than if he makes the squad the Chiefs could consider keeping just two there if Lovett and Anthony Sherman can fill in there as well.

The depth chart accurately captures the wide receiver competition in camp. Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, Demarcus Robinson and Mecole Hardman are locks. Gehrig Dieter, Byron Pringle, Marcus Kemp and Rashard Davis are battling for likely two slots. The remainder of the wide receivers could still move up, however, and certainly some strong candidates for practice squad are in the mix.

A few quibbles with the defensive line portion of the chart. Breeland Speaks and Tanoh Kpassagnon seem switched, since more often than not Speaks plays left end and Kpassagnon on the right. That is a deep group, however, as one can make a compelling argument for even the third- and fourth-teams guys as 53-player roster candidates. Emmanuel Ogbah and Khalen Saunders have often mixed in with the twos.

The linebacker grouping feels a tad off, mostly because the Chiefs have done a lot of mixing on the first and second teams. Jeremiah Attaochu is hard to slot, because he often lines up as a defensive end who drops back like an outside backer. The other linebackers are somewhat interchangeable, however, but Dorian O'Daniel seems more likely as a backup behind Anthony Hitchens.

The Chiefs don't list Slot Corner as a starting position, but if they broke it down with that position, Kendall Fuller would be the slot corner, Charvarius Ward on the right and Bashaud Breeland on the left. Rashad Fenton (slot), D'Montre Wade (right) and Herb Miller (left) have run with the No. 2 defense, with Mark Fields also mixing in.

Expect some outcry with Juan Thornhill listed No. 2 behind Dan Sorensen at free safety, but it reflects the reps in practice. Thornhill sees more and more snaps with the ones, however, and if he plays as he has during the first week of camp, he should win that job. It's early in camp, and Andy Reid likes to force young players to earn their snaps and win their jobs, not have them given to them.

No. 3 quarterback race: Chase Litton and Kyle Shurmur share third-team reps, but more often that not Shurmur pulls the first set. Litton is the incumbent, and the winner of the No. 3 likely lands on the practice squad, but it will be interesting to see who comes out third Saturday against Cincinnati.
