The Chiefs can clinch the AFC West with victories in the next two weeks over Baltimore and the Los Angeles Chargers at home.
The battle for the the top-seed in the playoffs appears much murkier, however. The Chiefs hold a one-game edge over New England and Houston. The Chiefs own the tiebreaker for now over the Texans, but the Patriots hold the tiebreaker over Kansas City by virtue of their win in Week 6. The Chiefs must remain a game ahead of New England to claim the No. 1 seed.
