KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Center Zach Fulton draws the start for injured starter Mitch Morse against the Los Angeles Chargers and linebacker Reggie Ragland will be active for the first time since his arrival via a trade with Buffalo last month.
Interior offensive lineman Jordan Devey will be active for the first time this season with Fulton moving into the starting lineup. Devey will backup up the guard and center positions while Cameron Erving will serve as a swing tackle backup.
Rookie linebacker Ukeme Eligwe will sit out today’s game with Ragland moving into the active roster. The Chiefs also will play with inside linebackers Derrick Johnson, Ramik Wilson, Kevin Pierre-Louis and Terrance Smith in addition to Ragland.
The Chargers will play without starting right tackle Joe Barksdale, who left last week’s game against Miami with a foot injury. The team also lost backup tackle Chris Hairston for the season earlier this week. Michael Schofield expects to draw the start.
The team also lost starting cornerback Jason Verrett, who elected to have season-ending knee surgery this week. Running back Melvin Gordon was listed as questionable with a knee injury but will play.
