KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The roster moves continued for the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday night, hours after getting to a 53-man roster.
The Chiefs sent linebacker Edgar Jones to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick, the team announced.
Meanwhile, Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas tweeted the Cowboys received Jones and the Chiefs’ 2014 seventh-round pick in exchange for a 2014 sixth-round pick.
Jones, a seventh-year pro, joined the Chiefs in 2012 after five seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.
Mostly a special teams player, he entered the NFL in 2007 as an undrafted free agent out of Southeast Missouri State University.
Jones’ departure opens a roster spot in Kansas City.
