Justin Houston, Anthony Hitchens Questionable Versus Cleveland Browns in Week 9

Oct 1, 2018; Denver, CO, USA; Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Anthony Hitchens (53) against the Denver Broncos at Broncos Stadium at Mile High.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Center Mitch Morse and linebacker Frank Zombo won't play Sunday for the Chiefs against the Cleveland Browns, but linebackers Justin Houston or Anthony Hitchens enter the game as questionable as the return from injuries.

Both Houston (hamstring) and Hitchens (rib) practiced on a limited basis Thursday and Friday. They remain game-time decisions, but it wouldn't be a surprise if both players remained on the sidelines.

Safety Eric Berry (heel) did not practice this week and remains doubtful.

"The guys, I thought they had a good week of practice," Reid said. "They worked hard. Today we knocked out red zone. Important that we went through the process here and we continue that as we go to Cleveland."

Even with the potential return of Houston, outside linebacker Nate Orchard expects to see playing time in his homecoming at Cleveland. He spent three seasons with the Browns until his release following this year's preseason. He joined the Chiefs Oct. 10, and was active in his first game with the club but did not play.

"Orchard we feel comfortable with," Reid said.

Safety Daniel Sorensen remains on injured reserve and as a result is not listed on the injury report. The Chiefs have until Nov. 13 to return Sorensen to the active roster. Reid said Sorensen continues working exclusively with the scout team.

"He's doing pretty good," Reid said. "Probably not ready this week but he did have a good week of practice."

The Browns enter the game with seven players questionable, including starters wide receiver Antonio Callaway (ankle), left tackle Desmond Harrison (illness), center JC Tretter (ankle) and safety Damarious Randall (groin).
