KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Chiefs injury picture still holds more questions than answers, but one clear fact stands that the team appears on the mend following a series of injuries to key players.
Only defensive tackle Dontari Poe and linebacker Tamba Hali sat out practice Friday in final preparations for Sunday’s game at the Atlanta Falcons. Poe continues battling back spasms while Hali took a scheduled day of rest.
But coach Andy Reid did not rule out the possibility Poe could play Sunday. The team listed him questionable on the Friday injury report.
Linebacker Justin Houston returned in a limited role after sitting out practice Thursday.
“Justin Houston did partial,” Reid said. “He was out here and moved around a little bit.”
Houston also appears questionable for Sunday’s game, along with linebacker Dee Ford, wide receiver Jeremy Maclin and defensive lineman Kendall Reyes.
The Atlanta Falcons will be without pass rusher Adrian Clayborn, who underwent knee surgery earlier this week. Linebacker Paul Worrilow did not practice Friday due to an illness.
