KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs on Friday officially announced the signing of defensive tackle Charles Tuaau, an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M-Commerce.
The 6-3, 310-pound Tuaau, a junior college transfer, appeared in 23 games at Texas A&M-Commerce the past two seasons, totaling 86 tackles (45 solo) and 17 sacks.
Tuaau’s signing was previously reported by ChiefsDigest.com.
Kansas City entered Friday with 90 players on the offseason roster, and had to make roster moves to accommodate Tuaau.
The Chiefs accomplished that by waiving defensive lineman Hebron Fagupo and tight end Brandon Barden to bring the offseason roster to 89 players.
The 6-0, 324-pound Fangupo and 6-4, 253-pound Barden spent time on the Chiefs practice squad in 2014 before signing reserve/future contracts at the end of the regular season.
