KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs on Saturday announced two roster moves.
The Chiefs placed rookie defensive back Sanders Commings on injured reserve and elevated rookie linebacker Josh Martin from the practice squad to the 53-man active roster.
Commings recently aggravated the same shoulder that previously landed him on injured reserve with designation to return before the start of the regular season.
The team activated Commings, a fifth-round draft pick of the 2013 NFL Draft out of Georgia, during its Week 10 bye. He finishes the season with a solo tackle in two regular season games.
Martin originally joined the Chiefs in May 2013 as an undrafted free agent out of Columbia University in New York. He was inactive the first three games of the regular season before being placed on the practice squad.
