KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Chiefs coach Andy Reid encourages his players to be themselves.

Tight end Travis Kelce, one of the team’s high-profile young stars, will take it another level, “The Bachelor” style.

The 25-year-old Kelce will have his own reality television show, “Catching Kelce,” airing on E! later in the year with eight episodes dedicated to Kelce’s quest to find love, as first reported by deadline.com.

Kelce’s agent, Greg Diulus of Vantage Management Group, confirmed when reached by telephone Thursday evening that his client will participate in the show.

Diulus, who is in Hawaii with Kelce for Sunday’s Pro Bowl, didn’t have the particulars of the program, which will be taped during the offseason.

But he stressed the TV program would not interfere with Kelce’s responsibilities with the Chiefs.

“Rest assured, this will not affect in any way his football activities,” Diulus said emphatically.

Kelce comes off a season where he finished second on the team in receptions (72) and yards receiving (875), adding five touchdowns to earn his first trip to the Pro Bowl.

“On top of being a well-respected athlete, Travis has a fun-loving, over the top personality that draws people to him, and we are excited to give our viewers an up-close look at his search for love,” E! executive vice president Jeff Olde told deadline.com.

The show’s format will feature 50 women, one from each state, joining Kelce in Los Angeles as he attempts to find his “lifelong ‘teammate,’” according to deadline.com.
