KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Chiefs made a swap of receivers on their roster Monday, signing free agent Juwan Green and waiving Kekoa Crawford.
The 6-foot, 187-pound Green entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and has spent time with Atlanta, Detroit and Tennessee.
This spring Green played for the XFL’s Seattle Sea Dragons where he ranked No. 11 in the league with 420 yards receiving, averaging 14.5 yards on 29 catches along with six touchdowns.
Green finished his college career at Albany, where he was where he earned FCS All-America first-team honors. caught 106 passes for 1,815 yards and 21 touchdowns in 23 career games. He also returned kicks during his junior season, averaging 23.3 yards per return. He was named a starting wide receiver in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in 2020.
Crawford signed with the Chiefs June 15 after a successful tryout during the mandatory minicamp. He played in last week’s preseason game against the New Orleans Saints, connecting with quarterback Shane Buechele on an 8-yard touchdown pass that put the Chiefs up 21-17 in the third quarter. He finished the contest with two catches for 27 yards.
