KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs will enter the weekend’s rookie minicamp with the 2015 NFL Draft class under contract.
The Chiefs signed cornerback Marcus Peters, the team announced Friday evening.
Peters’ deal comes after cornerback Steven Nelson’s signing appeared on Friday’s NFL Transaction report. The Chiefs also confirmed the signing of Nelson, who was selected in the third round.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The 6-0, 197-pound Peters joined the Chiefs out of Washington as the 18th overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was widely regarded as the top defensive cornerback of the draft.
The former Huskie finished his college career appearing in 34 career games, totaling 129 tackles (95 solo), a sack, 11 interceptions, 35 passes defensed, a forced fumble and three fumble recoveries.
The Chiefs throughout the week signed Nelson, offensive lineman Mitch Morse; inside linebackers Rakim Wilson and D.J. Alexander; wide receiver Chris Conley; tight end James O’Shaughnessy; defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches and wide receiver Da’Ron Brown.
