KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs on Tuesday released fullback Jordan Campbell and tight end Justin Jones from the practice squad.
Campbell originally signed a reserve/future deal in January 2014 and spent the entire offseason and training camp with the Chiefs.
The Chiefs originally waived Campbell as part of the final roster cuts to get to the 53-man roster. He signed with the practice squad on Aug. 31 before being released on Sept. 7.
The Chiefs brought back Campbell on Sept. 16, the same day Jones signed.
Tuesday’s transaction marks the third time the Chiefs released Campbell.
The Chiefs now have two open spots available on the practice squad, but may not be in a rush in the coming days to fill the positions given the bye week.
