ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Chiefs second-year outside linebacker Dee Ford missed Sunday’s practice to receive treatment for a concussion.
Ford, who was not on the field, originally experienced concussion-like symptoms following Saturday’s practice, according to a team spokesman.
With Ford not on the field, sixth-year pro Frank Zombo took repetitions with first and second-team units.
There are no status changes with the rest of the Chiefs’ injured players.
Quarterback Tyler Bray (knee), rookie wide receiver Chris Conley (knee), tight end Ryan Taylor (quad), rookie offensive lineman Garrett Frye (knee), rookie wide receiver Jeret Smith (hamstring), tight end Demetrius Harris (foot) and linebacker James-Michael Johnson (calf) continue to miss practice and work with trainers on the sideline.
Conley hasn’t been on the practice field since July 29.
Defensive tackle Dontari Poe (back), defensive linemen Nick Williams (concussion) and wide receiver Junior Hemingway (hip) were not on the field.
