KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Matt Ammendola will handle kicking duties for the Chiefs when they take on the Indianapolis Colts Sunday as kicker Harrison Butker will miss his second game with a sprained left ankle.
Butker’s swollen left ankle is progressing, according to head coach Andy Reid, but
“Hopefully he’s ready to go next week,” Reid said.
Reid also said defensive end Mike Danna will also miss the game due to a calf injury. Malik Herring has been prepped this week to play this week in Danna’s absence, and he said he feels great heading into his first NFL game.
“Dream come true to make my first NFL debut,” Herring said. “I can’t wait to see how it goes.”
The Colts are battling injury issues of their own with All-Pro linebacker Shaquille Leonard ruled out for Sunday’s game and defensive end Yannick Ngakoue questionable with a back injury.
